RouterOS Devices Management System
Konečný, Jakub ; Novotný, Tomáš (referee) ; Hájek, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes a design and an implementation of an information system for management control and remote configuration of devices running MikroTik's RouterOS system. Primary purpose of the system is managing all compatible devices at one place. Within each device you can modify its DNS and DHCP settings, create or edit static DNS records and static routes. System is written in PHP using Nette Framework and MySQL database.
Application for batch management of Mikrotik network devices
Kloda, Tomáš ; Frolka, Jakub (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to describe and develop web application for large-scale management of MikroTik network devices. The theoretical part describes RouterOS operating system. This work also describes communication through MikroTik API service. Next section includes brief description of tools, which were used for the web application development. The practical part describes development and realization of the web application. The web application is intended for Linux based operating systems.
Routing among autonomous systems in Internet
Daněk, Michal ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes the architecture of the Internet, its division into autonomous system and methods of their interconnection. Furthermore extensively describes routing mechanisms among autonomous system but also inside. More space is dedicated to routing protocols OSPF and BGP. At the end of the work is designed laboratory task for subject Network Architecture where this protocols are used.
Quality of services and experience qualify for next generation networks
Vaněk, Jiří ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
The thesis sums up the traffic parameters for the evaluation of next-generation access networks. There are mentioned parameters for service quality management and parameters for measuring the quality of experience. The EU regulation on High Speed Internet in the Czech Republic is analyzed. The practical part compares the results between the implementation of the quality management of services and without implementation. Also there is comparing theoretical and practical transmission rates of physical ports. Part of the thesis is a questionnaire focused on the quality of experience of the video sequence.
Implementation and Security of IPv6 Protocol in the Company
Hensl, Jaroslav ; Sedlák, Petr (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This Master's thesis is focused on the IPv6 protocol implementation in a business environment. The thesis theoretically describes parts of the protocol which are then used in a real environment with respect to maximal compatibility and security. The thesis deals with hardware components, router configuration on FreeBSD OS, and switch configuration with RouterOS. The thesis also proposes how to monitor the network.
Network management using Mikrotik
Zavadil, Pavel ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to describe the tools of evaluation of the state of the network, the description of network components of Lithuanian company Mikrotik and the demonstration of network failure scenarios with its subsequent reconfiguration to maintain communication.
Intrusion detection system for Mikrotik-based network
Zvařič, Filip ; Frolka, Jakub (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on network attacks and ways to defend against them. It discusses the most common attacks that can be encountered and their impact on computer networks and end user. Finally, it includes steps for implementing a protection system in collaboration with the preventive software Snort and RouterOS operating system. This system's toughness is tested and results are processed.
Application of simulation model of access network
Szymeczek, Andrzej ; Sládok, Ondřej (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
The topic of the diploma thesis is " Application of simulation model of access network". The aim of the thesis was to create a part of the access network in which were tested simulations for TCP and UDP traffic. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with general information about the GNS3 program and the possibilities which this program allows. The next part of the thesis describes the Mikrotik RouterOS program, which was used in the topology. The next section describes the types of routing in IP networks, as well as the types of packet delivery. The practical part deals with the creation of test topologies and verification of the performance of the simulation tool. Furthermore, the practical part deals with the programming of a network generator for TCP and UDP traffic in the network. The generator was created by using a Bash script and a combination of the dd and nc commands. At the end, the thesis describes the results of simulations in terms of transmission speed, network throughput, packet size distribution and in the case of TCP also bidirectional delay – RTT.
Internet Service Provider GS-NET Backbone Modernization
Teplý, Jaroslav ; Schieb, Ing, Ladislav (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
Wi-Fi, internet, IEEE 802.11, RouterOS, Mikrotik, 10GHz
Virtualisation as a data network simulation apparatus
Chapčák, David ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Krkoš, Radko (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the use of virtualization, especially for data network simulation. The theoretical part deals with virtualization including virtualization division into groups and evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of virtualization. The following part describes several common virtualization tools. The majority of the text is devoted to simulation and presents several network simulators, which use virtualization. In the next part several experimental networks that are currently operating are described. Furthermore the measurement portion is realized where the measured parametres gathered from virtual network are compared with data measured in real network. The final section summarizes the results and draws conclusions.
